Background: 

Tormis started skiing at the age of 6, as his older sister joined the alpine skiing training group in his hometown of Otepää in Estonia. Tormis moved to Austria with his family at the age of 11 to further develop his skiing and to learn the german language. They planned to stay for just one year, but due to the progress of his skiing they never left. In 2015 he enrolled the ski academy in Stams, Tirol. There he got the first sense of what it takes to be a professional skier and developed the idea of becoming one himself. And after his graduation from “Skigymnasium Stams” he's been following this dream ever since.
